ALBERT.jpg (5987 bytes)

This one is me at the Royal Albert hall ...aged 15. St David's Day Concert sponsored by the London Welsh Society. I was sat on a high dais right under the organ, I attended as a member of Mid Rhondda band and was the first member of the band to walk onto the stage so that I could climb up to my perch. Quite an experience in front of about 7000 people if my memory serves me.

This one is me in my Heavy Rock phase aged 21, I think  . With Adrian Llywellyn in our band Eugene Carnan - we should have been called Eugene Cernan after the last Man to Walk on the Moon - but the printer made an error with our business cards and as we couldn't afford to pay for a reprint we just changed the name of the band to what was on the card !  - Strange but True !!

The fine fellows above are members of 'Galleon' - a scratch band we put together while in the 6th Form at Porth County Grammar School to raise money for some charity or other. I can't remember why - just to show off I suppose.

My first ever plane journey arriving in Austria. Taken about 1974 when I was working for Scholl the foot care specialists

bailey.jpg (6831 bytes) This one is here because it was taken by DAVID BAILEY no less ,at the end of an advertising photo shoot for Scholl in about 1975.  I am at the far right with Red jumper. The others are people from the ad agency and the models. The quality is not good as it is a Polaroid - souvenirs that Bailey took for us.

Nicked By John Thaw !

!

Now better known for Inspector Morse this was taken in the early 70's when the late John Thaw played Jack Reagan in THE SWEENY  the top rated TV show in the country. This was taken at the opening of a new branch of Currys, in Reading. One my responsibilities at the time was arranging new branch opening publicity for Currys hence this picture. I can not exaggerate the amount of  people who turned up that day  just to see him yet alone buy  Carmen rollers.  I remember that John's fee for the day was ...a colour TV.   How things have changed ..eh.
