Here are some pictures of my Family

First, this is my mother June and Bill Samuel my Step Dad . They have been married over 25 years and live in Williamstown, Rhondda, South Wales.  They are now both retired and seem to spend all their time on holiday...  ha ha. Before he retired Bill worked for the Co-Op Dairy and had his own franchised milk round and Mam last worked in Clarks Bakery shop. Pontypridd.

Recently, Bill has had to have his right leg amputated below his knee, but he has coped marvellously with help from Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff and is walking again. I have promised to buy him a parrot to sit on his shoulder for Christmas.

Now , here is my Dad, Gordon Evans. He was a passionate musician playing the trumpet/cornet. The uniform is from one of the many Rhondda brass bands  for which he played the cornet.  I can't tell which but it could have been Cory's, Mid-Rhondda or Lewis Merthyr.   Mam tells me that this photo was taken when he was in his 20's and was one of his favourites . Dad died suddenly when he was 39 on the same day BBC Radio One was launched.

I was 15 at the time and was devastated but what interest I have in music  is because of him. He always wanted me to play cornet like him, but  gave me every encouragement when I decided that Drums was what I wanted to play. I still miss him.

Here is my little sister Christine and her husband Alan Churchill. Chris works for the Inland Revenue ( Boo-Hiss) and Alan is a successful salesman in Financial Services and is currently working away in Dubai .

They live in Talbot Green, Mid Glamorgan about 15 mins by car from my mother.

And here is their daughter  my lovely niece Chloe Churchill.chloe1day.jpg (6995 bytes) I still remember the excitement I had when Chris let me hold Chloe just a few hours after she was born. Her eyes were wide andchloe2.jpg (12060 bytes) searching,  taking everything in. It has been a privilege to see her growing up over the years.

Here again is Mam. She is now over 70  ,would you believe, and loves having fun and dressing up in fancy dress for fun nights at the Club where she and Bill go dancing in the Rhondda.  Though they have had to curtail this since Bill had his op.

We also dress up  on Christmas  Nights at the annual Family Get -Together  she holds at her  house. Here is a picture of her dressed up - as a Rag Doll. And not to be outdone, there's one of me as well - the poor mans C3PO
